I am a project scientist/manager of hydrocarbon and produced water (brine) spill remediation/reclamation in the Bakken region of ND. My main focus is managing clean-up projects from spill delineation and cost estimation to the in-field excavation and reporting activities required for case closure with state agencies. In addition, I write and complete work plans that include groundwater, surface water, and vegetation monitoring and sampling for short and long term reclamation projects. Soil classification, pipeline ROW reclamation and inspection also fall under my responsibilities at Stealth. Consulting clients on anything soil science as well as regulatory and environmental compliance while practicing new and innovative ways to achieve successful remediation/reclamation are what make my role so interesting and enjoyable.
