Accountable for providing leadership and strategic direction across Vancouver Coastal Health for capital planning and investment, and is a key liaison between facilities, clinical operations and project teams. By using a risk-based framework and assessments of $4.4B of infrastructure over 8M sqft (internal gross floor area), the Director targets the most critical areas in need of capital funding for replacements and upgrades to ensure the portfolio aligns with best practices and optimal performance to deliver healthcare. He acts as the Project Sponsor for infrastructure projects and is a liaison between senior leaders of the organization, foundations, private sector partners, government agencies, Project Offices, and Facilities Maintenance and Operations. This Director is also accountable for the regional Seismic Program, Hazardous Materials Program, and Arc Flash Program, to assess and manage these risks within the organization.
