ABOUT SAM MYERS

I am an enthusiastic and driven cell biologist who looks to turn collaboration and diverse thinking into scientific strategy and decision-making data. I love problem solving, building and refining new assays and platforms, and advancing ambitious cutting-edge therapies.I gained my PhD from the University of Cambridge in stem cell and developmental biology, where I focused on using CRISPR to dissect the signalling pathways that govern embryonic pluripotency and self-renewal. From there I honed my genome engineering skills and entered early-stage drug discovery, carrying out CRISPR screens and compound screens at Horizon Discovery (Now Revvity) – a world leader in genome editing. I have since transitioned into cell and gene therapy, where I have led a team with the aim of delivering novel tools and assays to help establish the immunology and ophthalmology platforms at Mogrify – an ambitious computationally-driven in vivo cell reprogramming company.
