ABOUT SAM MOTTRAM

In early 2021 I was excited to accept the offer to become Director Aftermarket & Attachments within the Building Construction Products Division, building a strategy to allow us to perform in this high focus area of Caterpillar strategy. Prior to this role I spent 5 years as Global Commercial Manager for Mini Excavators and Small Dozers for the same division, returning to my Caterpillar roots in the smaller equipment end of the enterprise. I had returned to Caterpillar into a role within Global Mining in January 2015 as Product Support Supervisor in the Underground section of the division based in Luenen, Germany. Being based in the UK, in 2019, I was selected to become Caterpillar UK Ltd\'s representative on the CEA (the UK Construction Equipment Association) Management Council. In September 2020 I was elected as the Chairman of the CEA Management Council.Prior to my Caterpillar return that I had one year as Managing Director of a startup, eCow Ltd, a small family led business designing and manufacturing wireless telemetry dairy welfare monitoring products. The eCow farmBolus was named Overall Winner of the Award for Innovation at the UK Dairy Industry Awards in September 2014 and I was voted in the SW Business Insider Magazine\'s \'42 under 42\' as one of the most exciting young entrepreneurs in the south west in 2014.Prior to eCow I had twelve years commercial and engineering experience at Caterpillar Inc with experience of relocation to four nations in twelve years.
