I am responsible for the design of all types of fire protection systems and for administering the compliance documentation processes to ensure that the installed fire systems gain compliance with the relevant bodies. Skills: 1. AutoCAD. A. To design and produce all kinds of fire protection systems (fire Sprinkler system, fire alarms system, pump room, diesel/electric pump set, piping, hydrant system,tools…) for installation purposes and write down system and component specifications and requirementsas per required by applicable standard/codes for the purpose of future maintenance and compliance. B. To protect and inspect full set of mechanical, electrical, architectural and structural layout to check for obstruction/clashes with fire protection layout and provide necessary comments and solutions. C. To co-ordinate fire protection piping and devices with the services (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning units, cable trays, Fan Coil Units, lights, architectural services…), while making sure system stays compliantwith the fire protection standard and gain compliance. D. To overlook and review construction projects andproduce accurate as-built drawings for compliance and record keeping purposes. HydraCAD. A. To perform hydraulic calculation/test of the system (pump, pipe work, B.F.P.U- double check assembly, valve set, hydrant, sprinklers…) to identify water supply demand and to check the performance, durability and to identify and confirm the required pipe sizes for the whole system (new and/or existing). B. To produce hydraulic reports and node drawings for compliance and record keeping purposes. C. To produce material list for pricing and installation purposes. Revit. Basic knowledge of revit.
