I am responsible for ensuring that all staff teams understand their responsibilities and roles to #KeepThePromise. This involves working closely with staff to deliver training, engage with key stakeholders and develop and influence policies. A key element of my role is the project design and project management of the Renfrewshire Promise Keeper network which involves over 350 staff from across the local authority. I support the Promise Keepers to act as local champions for The Promise within the context of their own roles. This involves training, project design and designing and promoting networking opportunities. I regularly create and influence policy across the council, with the most significant being the creation of our Renfrewshire Language Policy. This involved consultation, design and rollout of the policy to tackle negative and stigmatising language use around Care ExperienceI am also the Co-chair of the Supporting the Workforce group, creating an ambitious plan for supporting Care Experienced people with recruitment at the council. This also includes supporting Care Experienced young people to access placement and work opportunities.

I am an innovative and dedicated policy professional currently working as the Promise Ambassador at Renfrewshire Council. My role involves supporting teams and services across the local authority to understand how they can support the Care Experienced community. I am a skilled communicator with particular strengths across stakeholder engagement, innovative policy creation and embedding lived experience across all areas of my work. Outside of my role, I am also the Vice Chair of ProjectChange and a Trustee at the Unite Foundation.
