ABOUT SAM KWONG
Who I Am? Still trying to figure it out, but this is what I have learned thus far. At 14 years old, I got my first job as a janitor. I didn’t stop there. Between 14 and 18, I was a janitor, dishwasher, host, cook, newspaper salesperson, day camp volunteer, cashier, landscaper, and worked various handyman jobs. I learned early that hard work and character matter more than talent alone—and those lessons have shaped everything I do.Fast forward to today: I’ve built a career that blends my entrepreneurial spirit, recruiting expertise, and finance background into businesses that impact people. I now own and operate two companies—one in educational development and another in recruiting for high-growth startups in Silicon Valley. But my most important role? Being the best husband and father I can be for our two children.I believe in people and their potential. Recruiting and business aren’t just transactions—they’re stories, relationships, and life-changing opportunities. Whether it’s helping a founder hire their first engineer or guiding a job seeker back on their feet, I thrive on real connections and making a difference. That’s also why I love international business and travel—because diversity of thought, background, and culture makes us all better. To date, I’ve traveled to 25+ countries, and every journey reinforces my belief that understanding others is the key to a more harmonious world.I’ve never been one to sit still. I take on challenges headfirst, whether it’s scaling businesses, investing in real estate, or learning Spanish. My philosophy? Say it, do it. No excuses. Family and community is of utmost importance to me. If you ever drop by my home, odds are, you’ll find me with my family, sharing food, drinks, and good conversation. Because at the end of the day, that’s what truly matters.
