ABOUT SAM JAIN
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee replacement surgery.My clinical practice is based at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital. I offer robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement surgery at Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital. I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Leeds and a surgical trainer to fellows and resident doctors. I serve on the Executive Committee of the British Hip Society as Member at Large. I also work on the Professional Affairs Committee and as the NJR representative. I was a founding member of its award-winning Culture & Diversity committee. I have authored over 40 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals and have a particular interest in the prevention and management of complications of joint replacement surgery. I recently completed a PhD degree at University of Leeds on periprosthetic fractures following hip replacement surgery and work as part of a thriving academic unit in Leeds offering supervision and guidance to trainees building their own research portfolio.
