ABOUT SAM HARTSELL

Dedicated former college football player leveraging a competitive mix of drive, teamwork, and financial analysis skills ready to pursue a post-MBA career in finance. Overcoming the challenges of a career-ending injury, I transitioned into an accelerated MBA program at the College of Charleston where I am honing my expertise in financial analysis, capital budgeting, and M&A strategies. Borrowing from the words of Coach Nick Saban, “Success doesn’t come from pie-in-the-sky thinking. It’s the result of consciously doing something each day that will add to your overall excellence.” This game shaped how I show up in life, and I don’t take for granted what it taught me about risk and reward. My ability to foster collaborative teamwork, remain composed in high pressure environments, and lead people to success has been pivotal in both my athletic and academic pursuits. I am eager to apply this skillset to a business finance team where my team-centered approach can drive the value, growth, and success of a dynamic company.
