Sam is currently Head of Colleague Pensions at Royal London, having joined Royal London on a permanent basis in June 2022 following a secondment with them. Prior to joining Royal London, Sam was a Partner at Mercer based in the London office with close to twenty five years industry experience working with a number of clients of varying size and complexity. Her portfolio included providing actuarial consulting, investment and strategic risk advice to clients with schemes ranging in size from £200m through to £8bn. Sam worked with clients to help them achieve their own risk management objectives, by delivering advice on pension risk assessment, management and reduction, and integrating the pension solution within the client\'s overall financial strategy. In addition, Sam has also worked closely with a number of financial institution clients to help them assess their pension regulatory capital requirements and understand the interactions between the pension scheme and regulatory capital.
