I drive the application of a significant development programme which seeks to identify and address leadership and cultural needs across this dynamic organisation; supporting over staff in one of the largest employers in London. My role encompasses diverse requirements from verifying business and financial benefits of the project to securing funding from the Mayor\'s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). The substantial success of this project has attracted the need to justify and secure further funding to extend project reach. I successfully undertook these negotiations to secure contracts with the external consultants and developed the support infrastructure to continue highly effective project delivery. Additionally, I have codesigned and delivered a project which has successfully provided training and coaching to 1,300 newly promoted officers and police staff. This project has been recognised as having delivered significant positive change to the leadership culture within the organisation. I have driven this new and innovative organisational approach to staff development, bringing awareness of the need to proactively engage course members so they are clear they will gain personally from their attendance and commitment. In an environment of austerity and stretched resources it is often challenging for attendees to attend workshops and coaching appointments; I seek to emphasise the longer term organisational and personal benefits against short term challenges. My approach has secured an overall 70% satisfaction rate in all coaching and an 80% satisfaction in the workshops leading to this project being recognised and a blueprint for the future of leadership training in the MPS.
