About Sam Chapnick

Currently, I am an undergraduate student at Syracuse University double majoring in English Textual Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences and Television Radio and Film with a focus on Entertainment Business in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. I am also a Success Scholar and a member of the Renèe Crown Honors Program.I have experience working in different areas of the entertainment industry, each of which taught me accountability, discipline, and how to be detail-oriented. While at SU, I\'ve written several articles for The NewsHouse where I\'ve reviewed current films and discussed the groundbreaking aspects of 70s horror films. Additionally, I served as a PA under Writer/Director/Producer David E. Talbert where I worked with the post-production team on the film Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey. I have also been a creative intern with the production company American High which has a first-look deal with Hulu. In addition to my time with AH, I have also worked directly for the studio\'s founder Jeremy Garelick.On top of these opportunities, I have also interned with United Talent Agency and Illumination Entertainment.

   Feb 2026 — Present

   As a UTA Extern, I have had the ability to participate in a premier seminar series as well as the opportunity to speak with agents and employees from across different sectors of the company. These two-hour-long sessions over the course of three weeks have provided me with a holistic glimpse into the career path of talent representation. Furthermore, the externship provides me with an opportunity to network with other aspiring students and recent college graduates, all with the same goal of shaping culture and the next generation of entertainment.
