ABOUT SALVATORE TOMBOLA

I work in the People and Organization Italy unit as Focal Point for Knowledge Sharing, where I am responsible for shaping the HR Communication Strategy across key areas such as People Care, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing & Welfare, and Sustainable Mobility. I bring over ten years of professional experience at Enel, spanning Human Resources and previously Internal Communication. My work focuses on Work-Life Harmony, designing and implementing initiatives that enhance employees’ overall wellbeing, both mental and physical. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE For one year, I worked in Enel’s newly established Global Wellbeing & Welfare unit as Head of the Strategic Lab, leading initiatives dedicated to the holistic wellbeing of all employees. Served as Welfare Manager and Focal Point for initiatives supporting colleagues’ physical and mental health (e.g, Yoga and Pilates programs, digital education, airway obstruction first aid, workshops for colleagues’ children, nutrition seminars, and more). Worked for two and a half years as Internal Communication Specialist, developing corporate initiatives (e.g, Cascade, event organization, online and offline communication campaigns) targeted at colleagues nationwide, leveraging internal media such as TV, radio, magazines, intranet, and mobile app. Spent seven years in Billing Operations for Business and Mass Market customers in the Electricity and Gas sectors, managing customer data, consumption, and billing issues. Responsibilities also included budget management, handling tax benefits, managing additional transport charges, leading two outsourced teams, and performing SOA compliance checks. EDUCATION In 2016, I earned a degree in Communication Sciences and Technologies from Sapienza University of Rome. My thesis explored the impact of video games on adolescents’ socio-psychological behavior. In 2021, I completed a Master’s program in Diversity Management and Gender Equality with the Giacomo Brodolini Foundation.
