About Salvatore Talarico
I am a seasoned professional (+10yrs) with a PhD in electrical engineering with strong analytical and programming skills in the field of digital signal processing, wireless communication systems, coding theory, information theory, probability and random processes. During both my academics and my professional experience I have gained extensive knowledge of: • PHY layer design of several communication standards including 5G, LTE, MulteFire, 802.11, DVB-T2, and ATSC-MH; • Hardware descriptive languages, software defined radios (SDRs), and software implementation in embedded systems; • Several programming languages such as C/C++, Python, R, Labview, and Matlab for practical object-oriented design (OOD), implementation of algorithms, and system/link level simulation, optimization, and evaluation.My research contributions are documented in seven (7) peer reviewed journal publications, twenty-two (22) leading conference papers, and one (1) book chapter. During the past years, I have been the inventor (or co-inventor) of over hundred and fifty (150+) US patents or patent applications.
