Responsible for the end-to-end development and validation of Guidance, Navigation and Control solutions for In-Orbit Servicing missions, with focus on proximity operations and docking- Designed and implemented advanced relative and absolute navigation filters, improving estimation accuracy, robustness and close-range performance- Developed optimal guidance and control solutions for rendezvous and docking, increasing tracking performance and stability margins compared to initial baselines- Served as technical reference within the Close Proximity domain at algorithmic and system level, supporting mission-critical trade-offs and FDIR strategy definition- Acted as primary interface between GNC and Computer Vision teams, defining cross-domain requirements and modelling GNC–CV coupling for realistic sensor-to-algorithm interaction- Optimized and tuned ACS controllers across nominal attitude control modes, enhancing pointing precision, robustness and onboard computational efficiency- Contributed to the transition from prototype algorithms to flight-ready embedded software, optimizing execution time and memory footprint while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards- Improved high-fidelity simulation environments and Monte Carlo validation architectures, enabling quantitative verification of mission performance and margins- Designed hardware and software FDIR solutions, including onboard consistency monitoring and fault-tolerant control strategies for off-nominal scenarios- Authored technical documentation for internal design reviews and customer-facing milestones.

I have just completed the PhD cum laude focused on the development, simulation and experimental validation of GNC algorithms for autonomous aerospace systems, ranging from small UAVs to satellites with large rotating antennas. Furthermore, I was part of the Politecnico di Milano team that won three editions of the Leonardo Drone Contest, an open innovation challenge launched by Leonardo among some of the best Italian universities.
