ABOUT SALVATORE PETRUCINO
Salvatore Petrucino, aka Totò. Always interested in art and passionate about chess, he began his pictorial journey in 2010. After a difficult period in his life, he felt the call of art and entered a small workshop in his city, where he remained for about a year, gaining his first experiences. He then decides to continue his adventure alone, experimenting with new painting techniques and participating in numerous exhibitions and competitions with excellent results. There are numerous solo exhibitions in his hometown Latina, while in 2016 after being selected, he participates in the Rome Biennale. In his paintings inspired by the surreal-metaphysical style, we find suggestive plays of shadows with which the artist tries to express his ideas, his moods and his deepest feelings: the shadows, absolute protagonists of his works, always different from the subject depicted, they allow dreams, emotions and daily fears to emerge. Chess, another dominant theme of his works, merging with the shadows to create imaginative images that aim to communicate a pure stimulus to the sensitivity of those who \'\' read \'\' his paintings. Among the most important exhibitions we mention: 2014 Gala dearte in Montecarlo,(representing Italy in the Principality of Monaco, enjoying considerable success.) 2014 Latina solo show. 2014 Awarded at the \'\' May Day together \'\' Latina competition 2015 Personal exhibition in Rome. 2015 RomArt (first edition of the International Biennial of Art and Culture) 2015 National Award Veneto city of Padua. 2016 Rome Biennale 20••••16 First classified painting competition at the CAOS of Terni on the occasion of the second chess Open. 2016 Latina solo exhibition. 2017 Solo exhibition Artime Gallery Latina. 2017 Maison d’art exhibition in Padua. 2018 Umbria Art Festival. 2018 Collective exhibition \'\' The seven deadly sins \'\' Art Saloon Ariccia. 2019 Exhibition at the Velazquez Madrid award. 2019 Winner of the Ovopinto Museum competition association award in Civitella del lago. 2020 Second place in the Ovopinto museum competition in Civitella del lago. He currently collaborates with several art galleries, including Smart Coast Gallery and Agora Gallery in New York.
