ABOUT SALVATORE IODICE

As the National Business Line leader for Bridge Inspection Services, I lead a dedicated team of over 150 full-time bridge inspection engineers and support staff engaged in infrastructure inspection and preservation services. Based in our Valhalla, NY office, my mission is to keep WSP USA at the forefront of infrastructure inspection services, including bridges, tunnels, sign structures, culverts, retaining walls, transmission towers, etc. We judiciously test and utilize nascent technologies and AI that benefit our clients. I have overseen the inspection of more than bridges for NYSDOT and other agencies since 1990. Our diverse bridge inspection portfolio includes Highway, Long-Span Truss, Arch and Cable-Supported Bridges, Steel and Concrete Viaducts, as well as Undergrade Railroad Bridges. Additionally, our expertise extends to ancillary structures such as large culverts, overhead sign structures, retaining walls, high-mast lighting, and transmission towers.Signature inspection projects include the Brooklyn Bridge, Verrazano Narrows Bridge, George Washington Bridge, the I-278 Gowanus Expressway Viaduct, and others. We take pride in maintaining a skilled Rope Access team of over 20 SPRAT-certified technicians at Levels 1, 2, and 3. Our staff also includes licensed drone pilots and experienced non-destructive testing technicians, ensuring comprehensive inspection services across a wide range of structure types. Since 2020 I have led our local office Inclusion & Belonging Team. Our focus has included encouraging all our WSP colleagues to participate in team discussions and to offer their insights to help solve technical matters. We also established and maintain community partnerships with P-TECH High Schools, where we provide summer internships, mentoring, and project site tours to students enrolled in STEM curriculums.
