Saloni Ashok ShuklaUN Diplomacy Fellow & Emerging Leader | Professor | Researcher | AI, Emerging Technologies, Digital Eco Systems Policy & Governance Strategist | Founder – Sasmas Ventures & Nova EthosI am a United Nations Global Diplomacy Initiative Fellow (Fall 2025) and UNITAR Emerging Leader trained in Multilateral Diplomacy, AI Diplomacy, Policy Development and Governance,Science Diplomacy,Professional Skills, Blockchain for Finance and Trade, and “Leading in the AI Revolution: Strategy, Innovation, and Global Impact.” GARP-certified in Risk and AI, I work at the intersection of future policy, ethics, and digital transformation and a C2Pa Coalition Member along with Certifications from IIT Mumbai, Nvidia,Nasscom,Google,IBM, Microsoft. I was also selected as the Artist of The Week at the ITU AI For Good Conference 2025.From filmmaker,cinematographer and actor to a researcher,academic,creative technologist and AI strategist—my journey spans 27+ years across cinema, storytelling, media, technology and innovation. I now focus on AI,Emerging Technology, Digital Eco Systems and Science diplomacy, IP and media policy, information, literacy and governance, HMI ethics, cybersecurity, and resilience strategies for navigating natural, manmade, and machine-led disruptions. My frameworks fuse systems thinking with ethical technology and global cultural narratives.As the Founder of Nova Ethos and Sasmas Ventures, I lead strategy, research and development of AI and emerging media projects across Asia-Pacific and MENA. I serve as Asia-Pacific Representative, CILECT DTSC and am a Creative Technologist at the Emerging Media Lab at Whistling Woods International, where I’ve co-developed India’s first AI-integrated media curriculum. As a UGC Professor in Practice I have also contributed to TISS, DBSE-SOSE, MSFDA and other institutions on AI futures and digital education.Recently I’ve spoken at 3rd UNIRC held at United Nations Brussels, CILECT Congress (Beijing), IEREK SCIN (UAE), and CAPA (Shanghai), and will present at the AI Negotiation Challenge 2026 (Harvard Kennedy School & Geneva Business School) along with other speaking engagements in the future. My core work explores how technology, ethics, and policy shape the creative imagination and humanity.
