I was hired as a Clinical Research Coordinator in January 2024, and received a merit-based promotion to become a Program Specialist in January 2025. As a Program Specialist in the Biobehavioral Pain Lab within the Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine Department at the Children\'s Hospital of Los Angeles, I work under Principle Investigator Dr. Jeffrey I. Gold, PhD. I work primarily on a Pediatric Integrative Medicine study, gathering data and conducting data analysis on patients who have been diagnosed with chronic pain. These patients receive integrative medicine services including Acupuncture, Massage, Mindfulness, and Yoga, to evaluate the efficacy of these services in reducing chronic pain in pediatric patients. In addition to the Pediatric Integrative Medicine (PIM) study, I assist on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality studies, utilized to reduce pain and anxiety for patients who undergo painful or uncomfortable procedures.
