About Salomé Orozco

I’m an Industrial and Systems Engineering student at Stevens Institute of Technology, graduating in May 2027. As a first-generation college student, I care deeply about building systems that create efficiency while also creating opportunity. I’m especially interested in supply chain optimization, project management, and data-driven decision-making.I’ve worked on hands-on engineering projects including building an autonomous robot using SolidWorks and Arduino and developing a smart plant pot with real-time environmental data tracking. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to design, test, and refine systems from concept to execution.Beyond technical work, I’m passionate about leadership and community building. I serve as Founder and President of the First-Generation & Low-Income Student Union and Vice President of INCOSE at Stevens, where I lead strategic initiatives, coordinate programming, and connect students with professional and technical opportunities.My technical toolkit includes Excel, Power BI, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Azure, and C++. I’m fluent in English and Spanish.I’m currently seeking a Summer 2026 internship where I can apply systems thinking, contribute to operational improvement, and continue growing as an engineer and leader.
