Hello / سلام! As an Egyptian immigrant, I am passionate about using my journey in technology to uplift and empower others. Alongside my career in tech, I am deeply committed to mentoring and supporting the Muslim community in San Diego, helping students and young professionals navigate opportunities in STEM and build confidence in their academic and professional paths.I currently work at LPL Financial as a Systems Engineer II in Infrastructure & Operations on the Platform Engineering - Compute team.One of my proudest professional achievements was excelling in the LEAP program, where I developed an internship capstone project that is now used daily by the CTO and executive board at LPL Financial. The project involved building a centralized dashboard that tracks organizational changes and incidents across daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly timelines. To accomplish this, I collaborated with teams including Network Engineering, Incident Management, and Problem Management, integrating data from ServiceNow and Excel to create an actionable reporting system.I was also part of the winning team at LPL Financial’s first Hackathon (Hackarma), where our project Fin-Bot received the Most Viable Award.Prior to my professional career, I graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, maintaining a 3.89 GPA while holding several leadership roles on campus.During my time at CSUSM, I served as: • Tech Lead for the Google Developer Student Clubs • CS Lead Tutor at the CSUSM STEM Center for two years, mentoring computer science students • Social Media Coordinator for the Muslim Student Association, where I continue to mentor current board membersOutside of work and school, I volunteer biweekly with the Sabil Organization, assisting refugees from the Middle East and Afghanistan as they transition into their new communities.Overall, I am passionate about technology, leadership, and community impact, and I strive to create meaningful solutions while supporting and uplifting the communities around me.
