ABOUT SALLY ROBERTSON

I am a senior associate in Taylor Wessing\'s Tax & Incentives group, providing tax advice on a wide range of tax issues relevant to UK companies and individuals. I act for a broad range of exciting businesses from start-ups, venture capital investors, private equity investors to more mature businesses (including private and listed groups) in the life sciences and healthcare, technology, media and communications, private wealth, and real estate and finance sectors.I provide advice regarding a variety of UK and cross-border corporate tax issues, in particular in relation to cross-border finance arrangements and withholding taxes, the Qualified Asset Holding Company regime, UK anti-avoidance rules, corporate and real estate acquisitions and disposals, fund investments, S/EIS investments, VAT, and cross-border IP structuring. I regularly advise businesses on structuring inward investments in the UK from the US and other jurisdictions, and help businesses set up optimal financing structures, acquisition structures and exit arrangements.Separately, I have a keen interest in supporting the use of AI in legal services, from developing better use of document automation to the use of AI in time-recording applications, and exploring the benefits this can bring in terms of time and cost savings for clients.
