ABOUT SALLY STEPHENS
I am an experienced governance lead and adviser, with extensive experience in leading governance reviews, assessing board performance and developing and delivering trustee training. I have implemented change based on the Charity Governance Code with small and medium charities.I have a background in governance management and strategic support, previously leading diverse teams to deliver large-scale strategic projects. These have ranged from restoration of a hidden mural through to development of new governance communication systems through a custom web platform. I am the chair of a community-based art charity, Leeds Vocal Movement, and currently serve as secretary for Elliot\'s Footprint; a charity which support families who have experienced child bereavement. I am also an active volunteer, participating in a range of local arts organisations as a singer and a member of technical support crew. I have a BA and MA in modern languages, and a certificate in charity law and governance from the ICSA.
