ABOUT SALLY HODGSON
I bring a unique blend of experience from both corporate and public sectors, having built a career that spans business operations, leadership, and digital education. My journey began with running a family-owned IT support business for 18 years, where I led a team of twelve supporting local primary schools and small businesses. Over time, we evolved to specialise in teacher training and computing PPA services, driven by a passion for empowering educators through technology.In 2022, I joined AdEPT Education as IT Training Manager, later progressing to Cyber Security Operations and Training Manager. These roles deepened my expertise in digital transformation and security within the education sector.In my current role as Head of Training at Wavenet, I work with companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Canva to deliver AI adoption and integration, supporting businesses in embedding AI tools into their daily workflows. My focus is on helping organisations implement AI confidently and responsibly, with a strong emphasis on security, governance, ethical use, CPD, and long-term impact.I provide hands-on coaching and strategic guidance to ensure teams not only understand how to use AI, but how to embed it sustainably. My goal is to unlock innovation and growth while maintaining trust and transparency across the organisation.I also lead a team of qualified teachers delivering ‘turn up and teach’ services in K–12 classrooms. Our mission is to help educators embrace technology meaningfully, enhance student engagement, and bridge the gap between pedagogy and digital tools.As the first person in Europe to qualify as a Microsoft Certified Coach, I now use these skills to support Copilot adoption and integration, while continuing to mentor educators on their EdTech journeys. I am currently studying for my MA in Education at the University of East London.In addition to my role at Wavenet, I serve as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Merton Chamber of Commerce, contributing to strategic initiatives that support local enterprise.
