ABOUT SALLIE OBRIEN

I’ve spent more than two decades working in payments operations, risk, and compliance, helping financial institutions build safer and more resilient payment systems. My experience spans ACH, electronic payments, fraud prevention, operational risk, and regulatory compliance, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with banks, credit unions, and fintech partners to strengthen controls, improve governance, and navigate evolving regulatory expectations. I hold the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Accredited Faster Payments Professional (AFPP), and Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), and currently serve as a Senior Consultant focused on payments and operational risk. Much of my work centers around translating complex payment and regulatory requirements into practical frameworks that help organizations operate safely and effectively.Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed the collaborative nature of payments, working with operations, compliance, product, technology, and leadership teams to solve problems and build systems that people rely on every day. At this stage in my career, I’m especially interested in opportunities where my experience can contribute to work that has a meaningful impact. Payments infrastructure plays an important role in protecting customers, expanding financial access, and strengthening trust in financial systems. I’m motivated by the opportunity to apply my background to help organizations serve people responsibly and effectively.
