I step in when product strategy is unclear, portfolios are overbuilt, or teams are shipping features without a point, especially in industrial markets where mistakes are expensive, and trust is hard to win back.I come from engineering and now lead global product lines, which means I spend most of my time making hard calls: what actually matters, what doesn’t, and what needs to change for the product to scale. That work increasingly lives at the boundary between hardware, software, and user experience, not just deciding what we build, but shaping how customers interact with complex systems end to end.By day, I’m responsible for the direction of a $45M instrumentation and software portfolio, driving alignment across roadmap, pricing, voice of customer, and cross-functional execution. I set UX and interaction direction alongside engineering and design, weigh usability against technical and commercial constraints, and make sure what ships works in real lab and production environments, not just on slides.Alongside my core role, I collaborate with Jim Moran & Consultants (JMC) to help SMBs launch smarter and scale leaner, often stepping in when strategy, execution, and customer experience are pulling in different directions.I specialize in industrial and technical products that power quality control, automation, and lab workflows, the kind of tools no one talks about, but everyone depends on.If your product organization feels stuck, overbuilt, or misaligned with how customers actually work, I help bring clarity, focus, and forward motion.
