ABOUT SALIL BALI
At some point every business faces a crossroad when strategic growth, critical transactions, or complex legal hurdles demand more than just a lawyer — they need a sharp, trusted partner who understands both the nuance and the stakes. Whether you are trying to understand how to protect your intellectual property, defend against IP assertions by others, or enforce your rights against infringers, the right guidance can make the difference between a missed opportunity and a defining success.I advise sophisticated business leaders — general counsel, founders, and executives — who come to me when the stakes are too high to leave to chance. Whether they\'re navigating bet-the-company litigation, untangling contract disputes, or fending off aggressive competitors, they know that how you litigate sends a message. I help them send the right one.As a litigator with nearly two decades of experience in federal courts across the country, I work shoulder-to-shoulder with clients to not only win, but to protect what they’ve built. Whether the path leads to court, arbitration, or strategic resolution, I bring clarity to complexity — and fight to protect what matters most to my clients. Some recent examples of notable cases, include:• Represented OMNIVISION, as co-counsel, in its recent win against VisionX Technologies, LLC. The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California issued a final judgment of non-infringement on all three patents asserted by VisionX.• In a plaintiff-side case, for PERSONAL AUDIO our team won a jury verdict in Delaware Federal District Court. We secured a $15.1 million verdict in a case involving two patents on audio player technology. The jury found that the patents were valid and willfully infringed.• As co-counsel, secured a resounding defense-side victory for FEIT ELECTRIC. After more than 2-years of hard fought litigation and a seven-day patent infringement trial, the jury returned a verdict of non-infringement on behalf of Feit Electric in connection with the LED lightbulb patent asserted by plaintiff Nichia Corp.
