Oversee preparation, review, and sign-off of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Ensure all financial reporting complies with U.S. GAAP and aligns with company accounting policies and procedures. • Partner with trading book heads to review and explain P&L results, ensuring accuracy and transparency in performance reporting. • Analyze and substantiate marked-to-market valuations and trader profit and loss to validate financial integrity. • Prepare detailed valuation and MTM packages for bank reporting, traders, and credit facilities. • Manage the company’s rolling operational budget across legal entities and trading books, ensuring alignment with business strategy. • Prepare daily management reports with commentary on trading activity and key financial movements. • Compile monthly Management Discussion & Analysis (MD & A) for CFO review and submission to banking partners. • Lead the month-end close process, including financial statement review, variance analysis, and executive commentary. • Oversee year-end close activities for audit and tax purposes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Prepare and manage multiple financial statement disclosures in compliance with reporting standards. • Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries, reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers, and completion of all account reconciliations. • Direct all aspects of inventory accounting, analysis, and reporting, coordinating closely with stakeholders to validate metrics and controls. • Manage trade and cost accruals, ensuring completeness, validity, and timely updates. • Support the Chief Financial Officer with additional projects, analysis, and strategic financial initiatives as required.
