ABOUT SALEEM MIAH
Filmmaking graduate and recipient of the RTS Beryl Vertue Scholarship with a passion for film and television. After interning at Coronation Street and Quay Street Productions, I got a job as a Production Trainee on BBC Drama The Split Up produced by Sister Pictures, before being hired as a Production Assistant on Hollyoaks with Lime Pictures, which is my current role. I am also the recipient of the BFI/FilmHubNorth Micro Short Film Award 2025 and was recently shortlisted for the Channel 4 New Writers Scheme. As a working-class British Asian care leaver, I am passionate about telling stories that centre the often overlooked and underrepresented, in an entertaining and provocative way. I am also a huge advocate for equality of opportunity as a beneficiary of the regional BFI Film Academy Programme and the RTS Bursary Scheme.
