About Sakshi Sharma
I’m a neuroscience researcher currently working at IIT Bombay (CBN Lab) with a Master’s in Medical Physiology from AIIMS, Nagpur. My work focuses on understanding how the brain regulates cognition, emotional resilience, and stress. My research integrates neuroimaging and behavioral science, with hands-on experience in EEG and fNIRS. During my master\'s, I led a randomised controlled trial investigating the effects of Yoga Nidra on prefrontal cortex activity and stress in individuals with problematic social media use.At IIT Bombay, I am contributing to projects exploring:• Neural markers of emotion, self-processing, and meditation (EEG) • Cognitive workload, stress, and sleep interactions using fNIRS.I have also worked on studies involving binaural beats, visual attention, and mindfulness-based interventions, examining their impact on attention, HRV, and anxiety.My skill set includes neural signal processing, research design, and statistical analysis (Python, JASP, and GraphPad Prism), strengthened through training at NeuroMatch Academy and advanced coursework in biostatistics. I have co-authored peer-reviewed publications in neurology and oncology and presented research on Internet Gaming Disorder at a national CME.Research Interests: Cognitive Neuroscience | EEG | fNIRS | Sleep & Mindfulness | Emotion Regulation | Stress & ResilienceI aim to pursue a PhD in neuroscience and build a research program integrating neuroimaging, physiology, and cognitive-affective science.
