About Sakshi Pradhan

I am a Bioinformatics Analyst at UC San Diego Health and a Master\'s student in Bioinformatics and Medical Informatics at San Diego State University. My educational background includes a Bachelor\'s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from SDSU and two Associate\'s degrees in Natural Sciences and Biology from Diablo Valley College. I have multiple certifications in data science and R programming, and core competencies in plasmid transformation, plasmid cloning, and gel electrophoresis.As a Bioinformatics Analyst, I work with a team of researchers to study the effects of Wnt proteins and their signaling pathways on embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. I have built and sustained five iPSC cell lines, treated them with Wnt and Rspondin, and conducted single-cell experiments to prove chromosomal instability. I have also analyzed extensive files of ATAC sequencing, single-cell RNA sequencing, and RNA sequencing data to identify aneuploidy in a particular chromosome of iPSC. I am passionate about applying bioinformatics and medical informatics to advance the understanding of human health and disease, and I am eager to learn from and collaborate with experts in the field. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have also taught and coached undergraduate students in an Introduction to Organismal Biology course as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at SDSU.
