About Sakina Mammadova
Hello! I\'m a highly motivated student passionate about learning and discovering new things. In 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the FLEX program, which allowed me to study abroad in the U.S. As an exchange student, I found myself in a new culture, met fascinating people, and gained a fresh perspective on the world. The experience completely changed my life, and I returned to my home country with confidence and excitement about my future. In my role as FLEX Alumni Coordinator at American Councils for International Education, I was responsible for organizing events and activities that bring alumni together and foster a sense of community. This involved everything from coordinating logistics to managing social media and communications. Through my work as a coordinator, I\'ve gained valuable experience in leadership, project management, and relationship-building. Being selected as the Alumni Coordinator of the Month in October 2022 was incredible, especially since that was my first professional experience. As a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University with a fully funded State Scholarship, I am proud to represent my country once again in the United States and very excited to grow into a leader.
