Built a solid data foundation by replacing the legacy batch ETL pipelines with near real-time ELT pipelines using the modern data stack - Fivetran, DBT, and Snowflake. Develop systems with reliable logging and monitoring Architecture: Involved in design and architectural discussions by looking for optimal solutions to improve the overall data architecture. Designed architectural diagrams and technical design documents (TDD) to communicate and analyze the proposed solutions. Snowflake services: Using snowflake services - Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks to build near real-time ELT pipelines. Data modeling: Design and implement optimized data models using DBT (Data Build Tool). Implement DBT best practices by writing more unit tests, documenting the models, and establishing CI/CD for ease of access. Collaboration: Collaborated with Data science & Machine learning teams to deploy their models to production. Collaborated with product and marketing teams to automate their analytical processes. Partnered with DevOps on infrastructure provisioning for services like Lambda, EC2, Step functions, and others in AWS Cloud. Terraform: Using Terraform to build, automate and manage the data team’s cloud infrastructure with best practices. Lead: Led the team by organizing code-pairing sessions with team members to help resolve their blockers. Participated in deep dive sessions by presenting my work to data leads for review and feedback. Helped the team in hiring new talent by interviewing candidates.
