Hi, I’m Varma, a Software QA Engineer with 7+ years of experience—and like many engineers, I didn’t start my career knowing everything about testing. I grew into it.What began with writing manual test cases gradually evolved into owning automation, solving engineering challenges, and ensuring product quality end to end. Over the past several years, I’ve worked across retail, telecom, and healthcare domains, supporting enterprise-scale web, mobile, and API-driven systems.I started with a strong foundation in manual and functional testing, which helped me understand real user behavior, business workflows, and product risks. As my experience grew, I transitioned into test automation and began building scalable automation solutions. Today, I primarily work with Python-based automation frameworks using Playwright, along with tools like Selenium, Cypress, and Appium to ensure reliable and efficient test coverage.In my current role, I work on a large-scale e-commerce platform where I own quality for both web and mobile applications across Android and iOS. My responsibilities include defining test strategies, executing regression and exploratory testing, designing automation frameworks, validating REST APIs, and verifying backend data using SQL. I collaborate closely with developers and DevOps teams to identify issues early, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and support cloud-based environments such as GCP and Azure.Previously, I worked on telecom and healthcare systems where I supported automation and regression testing for customer-facing applications, REST APIs, and backend integrations in compliance-heavy environments. Through these experiences, I’ve helped teams improve release confidence by increasing test coverage, stabilizing automation suites, and strengthening cross-team collaboration.I’m comfortable working across the entire testing lifecycle—from requirements analysis to production release—identifying risks early, automating critical user flows, strengthening CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring applications are production-ready.I’m particularly interested in Playwright automation, Python-based testing frameworks, API validation, mobile automation, accessibility testing (WCAG), and building scalable, maintainable quality engineering systems.Currently, I’m seeking opportunities as a Senior QA Engineer / SDET / Automation Engineer, where I can continue growing, contribute to strong engineering practices, and help teams deliver reliable products with confidence.
