ABOUT SAIRAA BAINS
Having graduated with a First Class Honours in English and Film Studies, I am actively seeking writing, media, marketing and publishing opportunities. I am a published writer with words in Northern Ireland World and Dubai Weekly. Throughout my academic journey, I have held numerous editorial and leadership roles in various societies and publications. I gained valuable experience through internships at New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) and News 24 (India), where I immersed myself in the dynamic world of digital news media. Additionally, I interned at Blackspire Partners, supporting client communications and PR strategies across various industries such as energy, healthcare, and music. I also collaborated on the ‘Pop Cinema’ book project with Professor Glyn Davis, a renowned expert in queer visual culture. Having served as the School President of Film Studies and Head Editor for The Creative Writing Society at St Andrews, I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the industry.
