A regulatory Compliance expert with advanced proficiency in legal, risk, and audits, recently engaged in a global open-banking Fintech AISP organization. Holding qualifications such as LLB (hons), PGDip in Legal Practice, ICA’s Advanced Certificate in Compliance, and ISO9001 Lead Auditor accreditation, and more recently completed the ICA’s International Diploma in Governance, Risk, and Compliance. I have ensured compliance with regulatory standards, including and predominantly the FCA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, and played a key role in obtaining an international license in the EU, collaborating with major clients in the USA for open banking initiatives. I have expertise in serving as a risk and compliance head and senior manager for a payment services facilitator, ensuring regulatory adherence as an e-money organization under the FCA, and compliance with Visa and MasterCard rules. My diverse background includes experience in a legal firm dually regulated by the SRA and FCA, specializing in the FCA handbook, particularly SUPP and SYSC rules, CONC, DISP, and TCF/Consumer Duty. With 18 years in the financial sector and over 9 years dedicated to compliance and regulatory affairs, I’ve navigated various financial services realms, from debt recovery and banking to sales of diverse financial products. I have effectively managed teams, including call Quality Assurance, Internal Audit, Complaints, Subject access requests, and more recently, Risk, Fraud, Disputes, and Operations Teams, reporting directly to the CEO.
