Project Description: Project Description. Developed RESTful micro services using Spring Boot and Hibernate, with robust unit testing via JUnit and API testing using Postman and Swagger UI. Micro services were containerized and deployed on a cloud server, with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) managed via Jenkins and hosted on AWS. The application also leveraged Kafka for real-time data streaming and message brokering.Responsibilities:• Converted a monolithic application to a micro services architecture using Spring Boot and the 12-factor app methodology, deploying the micro services on Kubernetes/OpenShift and configuring scaling, load balancing, and container orchestration.• Utilized Java 17/11 features such as Lambda expressions, Streams, and Optionals for enhanced code efficiency and performance in both REST and GraphQL APIs.• Developed RESTful APIs using Java 17, Spring Boot, and J2EE, with efficient data handling using MongoDB. Implemented data streaming with Kafka for real-time data pipelines, allowing asynchronous communication between micro services.• Integrated Spring AOP and Spring Actuator to provide detailed metrics at the method level for monitoring and performance tuning.• Used AWS Cloud Formation templates to automate infrastructure creation, including setting up EC2 instances, S3 buckets, IAM roles, and security policies.• Performed thorough unit and integration testing with JUnit and Mockito, and validated API functionality using Postman and Swagger UI.• Managed and configured Spring Beans using XML and annotations to optimize application setup and flexibility.• Designed and implemented front-end elements with JSP and Bootstrap, enhancing user experience with dynamic JavaScript validations.
