About Saiful Islam
Completed PhD in Earth Science (with Research in Reservoir Simulation) in 2015 from University College Dublin, Ireland. My PhD was entitled “Upscaling methods for inclusion of 3D fault zone structure in flow simulation models” funded by ExxonMobil URC, Houston TX, USA. Completed Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering with focus on Reservoir Engineering in 2011 from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) under NORAD fellowship. My MSc thesis was entitled \"An Evaluation of IOR Potential for the Norne Field’s E-Segment using Low Salinity Water Injection\". Specialties: 3D reservoir model building and simulation, geomechanical modeling, modeling of multiphase flow in fracture and conventional porous media, geostatistical modeling, petrophysical property upscaling, reserve estimations, history matching followed by forecasting, fault slip and dilation tendency analysis, reservoir geomechanical modeling, upscaling of sub-seismic deformed and heterogeneous 3D fault zone structures, investigation of pre-existing natural fracture/fault reactivation due to in-situ stress change during injection/depletion operations, production optimization, production data analysis, economic analysis, EOR studies, gas processing, artificial neural networks.$ Sincere, meticulous, self-motivated, malleable, problem solver, can do attitude, high ethical standard and committed to work with a strong interpersonal and communication skill.
