About Saif Atique
I am an Airplane Design Engineer at Boeing with a strong technical foundation and growing leadership focus in aviation safety, aircraft certification, and advanced aircraft systems. My experience spans commercial aircraft configuration design, aircraft-level trade studies, and advanced concept development, including next-generation hybrid-electric and hydrogen-powered aircraft architectures. I have worked closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to evaluate new technologies, balance performance and certification requirements, and translate complex design challenges into executable solutions. In parallel with design engineering, I have served in aircraft safety and certification roles, contributing to Particular Risk Assessments (PRA) and leading Zonal Safety Assessment (ZSA) activities in support of large commercial aircraft certification programs. In these roles, I have coordinated with systems engineers, subject-matter experts, and designated experts to ensure regulatory compliance and technical assurance at the aircraft level.I hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, which strengthens my systems-thinking approach, analytical rigor, and ability to operate effectively at the intersection of engineering execution and long-term technical strategy. My professional trajectory is evolving from pure execution toward technical leadership, safety and airworthiness assurance, advanced engineering strategy, and advisory roles, particularly in global aviation and future mobility environments where engineering excellence, regulatory integrity, and innovation must coexist.
