Responsible for new program development and launch of OEM glass, including Skyroof and canopy glass• Plan and execute project timeline to meet customer needs and milestones• Review and analyze Customer drawings and data using CATIA and AutoCAD to assess manufacturability• Assess design form, fit, function and GD & T requirements to prepare product technical specifications• Lead design reviews to determine product & process feasibility and address open issues• Generate BOM after analyzing customer specifications and drawings• Work with Tooling Engineers to design and develop check fixtures and assembly tools for new programs• Review new component drawings to ensure design for assembly• Responsible for new program debugging and sample trials • Create modules in International Data System (IMDS) for customer approval• Work with SQE to get PPAP approvals for new components • Support internal and customer based engineering change requests• Create Product specifications and Process FMEA to analyze and mitigate risks in the new processes• Provide operator training and support production during new product launch/ start of production• Design customer trademarks using CorelDraw according to customer specifications and legal regulations• Work with Account Manager to analyze feasibility of cost reduction for my company and the customer
