About Sai Surya S.
I am a Robotics Graduate Student at the University of Maryland, College Park, with a passion for autonomous robotics and computer vision. I have a Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and multiple certifications in AutoCAD, Self-Driving Cars, and Deep Learning from Coursera.Before joining the Master\'s program, I worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ZestIoT, an IoT/AI powered connected operations platform. There, I applied my expertise in computer vision and deep learning to solve various industrial challenges, such as conveyor belt monitoring, end-of-line inspection, cylinder counting, and steel factory automation. I was involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from data collection and annotation, to model training and testing, to deployment and client communication. I also won the second prize in the Autonomous Vehicle Challenge in 2019, where I built and programmed a self-driving car prototype.
