ABOUT SAI PHANI KEERTHAN PONDURI
I am a CFD Engineer at John Zink Hamworthy Combustion working on the development and analysis of burner technology and Process Heaters to improve efficiency and reduce NOx and CO2 emissions. I am also a graduate of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Washington. I am a passionate Combustion and Fluid Mechanics researcher looking to contribute through my research aiming to affect the world and it’s sustainability in many positive ways. I have worked on modeling the combustion of Liquid Oxygen Droplets in a Hydrogen environment under microgravity conditions, which can be used to accurately estimate combustion in rocket propulsion. I have improved the existing model by employing a new solver using the non-unity Lewis number condition in OpenFOAM which is indicating experimentally and theoretically validated results.
