ABOUT SAHRA DEANE

I am currently the Regional Sales Manager and Clinical Applications Specialist for Ultrasound products at Esaote working in London and the South East. I provide Sales and Applications support for customers in various hospitals, clinics and education facilities as well as demonstrate the latest ultrasound systems to new or existing customers. I have a lot of trust in the products I work with and I demonstrate this with my passion in demonstrations. As education is a passion of mine, I have now started working with Kings College London to assess and supervise Student Sonographers in their written, practical and oral assessments prior to them obtaining their degrees. I hope to get into teaching and mentoring more in the future. I also undertake ad hoc ultrasound lists as a Sonographer working in London and the surrounding areas in order to maintain my skills in Ultrasound. I enjoy being able to have an opportunity in my spare time to continue to work in the profession I love!Further to this, I have recently become a mentor in the healthcare sector for the charity Apprentice Nation, guiding young people into finding suitable opportunities within healthcare. I hold an MSc in Clinical Ultrasound, Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound and I also have a Post Graduate Certificate in Vascular Ultrasound from Kings College London. I also hold a BSc in Medical Imaging from Exeter University.Before my Ultrasound training in a district general hospital based in Surrey, I worked previously in two busy London hospitals including a Major Trauma Centre as both a Band 5 and Band 6 Senior Radiographer.I am a highly motivated individual who isn’t afraid to work hard to achieve.
