I am the Chief Financial Officer at Universities Canada, a membership organization advocating on behalf of university presidents for higher education, research and innovation. I oversee the annual financial cycle, including budgeting and year-end responsibilities, mitigate key elements of risks and compliance, monitor investment activities and develop and maintain financial and operational controls. Alongside my daily duties, I also serve as the chair of Universities Canada\'s retirement plan committee, and I am a member of the organization\'s senior management committee. I specialize in managerial accounting, performance development, strategy and governance, and financial systems.I hope to continue my volunteer work, specifically regarding equity and diversity in all spaces, to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
