ABOUT SAHISTA IQBAL

Over the last 13 years, I have worked across CSR, sustainability, and community impact roles with organizations including GSK , HDFC Life Insurance Company, Godrej & Boyce, and BASF, leading initiatives focused on education, healthcare, ESG, employee engagement, and strategic community partnerships.Currently at GSK, I lead CSR initiatives across India with a focus on governance, stakeholder engagement, volunteering, impact measurement, and long-term community development. My work involves closely working with leadership teams, nonprofit partners, and cross-functional business stakeholders to ensure programs are not only compliant and scalable, but also meaningful and outcome-driven.Over the years, I have managed partnerships across multiple NGOs and business units, led employee volunteering initiatives with 8,000+ volunteering hours annually, and contributed to strengthening internal systems around reporting, monitoring, and program governance. I have also been involved in broader sustainability and ESG initiatives, including supporting reporting frameworks and enterprise sustainability priorities.What continues to interest me most is the evolving role of businesses in creating sustainable and inclusive growth. I enjoy building partnerships, solving complex stakeholder challenges, and creating initiatives that balance business priorities with measurable social impact.I regularly represent organizations at CSR and sustainability forums and remain deeply interested in the future of corporate responsibility, ESG, and community impact leadership.
