As a Building Services Engineer – Electrical (Cx) at NV5, I work on hyperscale data centre projects, driving testing, commissioning, and design validation of mission-critical power systems. My role ensures that facilities meet Tier IV standards for resilience, redundancy, and uptime.Commissioning Expertise (L1–L5):L1: FAT – Factory testing of switchgear, UPS, batteries, PDUs, STS.L2: SAT – On-site acceptance and compliance checks.L3: Pre-functional tests – Cable IR/Megger, panels, relay settings.L4: Integrated System Testing (IST) – Power chain with BMS, EMS & controls.L5: Full-load IST – Load banks for N+1 / 2N redundancy validation.Commissioning of HV/LV systems: transformers, switchboards, UPS, DG sets, bus ducts, earthing.Validation of critical power: UPS autonomy, DG load, breaker coordination.Design reviews: SLDs, protection studies, and compliance checks.Cross-team integration with mechanical and ELV during IST.I have delivered multi-MW data centre projects under strict timelines, ensuring zero downtime at go-live. By combining strong technical execution with collaboration across OEMs, contractors, and client teams, I help build robust and future-ready infrastructure.I am passionate about mission-critical engineering, where every test and validation directly safeguards uptime and client trust.
