About Sahil Kumar

Sahil Kumar is an MBA student at IIM Kashipur, specializing in Analytics. He has a keen interest in using data and process improvement techniques to make operations more effective and business decisions more informed. During his internship at Booking Holdings, he worked on improving service operations by analyzing ticket data, automating dashboards, and developing tools that supported planning and performance tracking.Before his MBA, Sahil worked at Fidelity International, where he managed pension fund operations and drove several process improvement initiatives. He led Lean ideas that made workflows faster and more reliable and completed a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Project, where he identified process gaps and applied the DMAIC framework to improve fund transfer efficiency. He is skilled in SQL, Power BI, and data visualization, which he uses to create clear insights from complex data.At IIM Kashipur, Sahil also worked on the IIMinSync Project, helping launch an in-app marketplace and integrating key student services to simplify campus operations. As an Executive Member of the Infrastructure and IT Committee, he contributes to digital planning, automation, and infrastructure upgrades. Earlier, at Shri Ram College of Commerce, he served as the Public Relations Officer of the Students’ Union, where he helped organize large-scale events and managed digital campaigns.Outside academics, Sahil enjoys video editing and creative content work, which he believes keeps him innovative and helps bring a creative perspective to his analytical projects. He aims to combine data analytics, process design, and creativity to build efficient and meaningful business solutions.
