ABOUT SAHEET GOHIL
Working with Boards, Audit Committees, Chief Internal Auditors and Senior Management. Building a better working world by helping financial service organisations to innovate, keep ahead of the game and evolve, whilst keeping their customers and themselves safe. Increasing regulations (e.g. UK Corporate Reform (in UK SOX), Operational Resilience, Market Conduct Abuse, GDPR; MiFID II); fines; and individual accountability have meant that it has become ever more important to ensure Boards, Audit Committees, Internal Audit and Control Functions are able to keep up to date with the latest demands from the industry, regulators and shareholders. Having worked both within industry and within professional services I have the ability to bring a commercial, pragmatic and practical lens to support financial service companies to innovate, provide assurance and help them comply with the highly regulated, challenging and changing environment they operate in. Have had significant practical experience in industry of working with the Bank\'s executives, and reporting to the Board and Group Audit Committee. I have experience in internal audit, SOX, assurance and regulatory investigations. Areas of experience include setting up new internal audit teams, front office controls and market conduct with a strong understanding of trading desks, corporate and retail lending, through to supporting new entrants and Challenger banks.Extensive experience working with the Financial Services Sector setting up new teams from scratch improving processes and controls, leading teams on international finance transformational projects, working with and influencing CFO’s/Managing Directors. Experienced leader of diverse teams in Hong Kong, London, New York, India and South Korea working across large multi-national clients including UK Retail Banks, Challenger banks, American Investment Banks, European Banks, Japanese Banks, UK Finance houses and Foreign branches with significant UK presence.
