Throughout my academic journey, my passion for problem-solving has been deeply intertwined with practical applications in mathematics and finance. As a student at Rutgers University majoring in Biomathematics, I explored the intersection of mathematical theory and real-world challenges. My analytical coursework ignited my curiosity about applying mathematical models to phenomena as diverse as fluid membrane mechanics and stock market trends.Driven by a desire to bridge theory with practice, I delved into algorithmic trading and mathematical finance during my time at Rutgers. Through self-directed study and coursework, including a rigorous exploration of option pricing theory and stochastic models, I honed my skills in financial modeling and quantitative analysis. Also, I participated in the Rutgers Quant Competition, where my team developed and optimized a pairs trading algorithm. Additionally, my internship experiences at UBS and Cedar Penn provided invaluable insights into financial operations and market dynamics, further fueling my interest in quantitative finance.As a leader both on and off campus, I have served as a coxswain for Rutgers\' Women’s Rowing Team and Vice President for Habitat for Humanity. These experiences have strengthened my ability to lead under pressure and reinforced my commitment to making a positive impact on my community.Looking ahead, I am eager to leverage my skills and experiences in Carnegie Mellon\'s Master of Science in Computational Finance program.
