ABOUT SAHARA WILLIAMS

Sahara Williams is a data privacy and cybersecurity attorney and consultant. She advises clients on compliance issues and industry practices related to global data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA) and on the integration of privacy and security in all aspects of a business, including technology development, contract negotiations, supply chain management, internal policy drafting and implementation, consumer data management, risk management, and cross-border transfers. Sahara is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and a former engineer and entrepreneur. Her unique professional background blends current knowledge of the data protection landscape with legal training, business savvy, and a problem-solving mindset. She has the ability to work within or manage cross-functional teams to achieve a collective objective. Sahara has both presented and published articles on privacy, cybersecurity, and risk management, including for CLE credit. She graduated summa cum laude from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law, where she made Order of the Barrister in the Moot Court Society and served as an editor on the Indiana Law Review and as President of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society’s Willkie Inn.
